John Madden didn’t like Will Ferrell’s spring-training stunt

Former Raiders coach/NFL color analyst John Madden was not a fan of Will Ferrell taking the field on Thursday.

As part of his campaign to raise awareness for cancer research, Ferrell played all nine positions for various teams in Arizona*

*But not for or against the Royals.

Even before the fun started, the stunt didn’t sit well with Madden

“I hate it. That’s a lack of respect for the game and a respect for what players have to do to get where they are ... ” Madden told KCBS.
