Bill Belichick didn’t exactly handle the Lamar Hunt trophy with care
As my colleague Blair Kerkhoff noted, this wouldn’t have gone over well had it happened in Kansas City.
After the Patriots’ 36-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England coach Bill Belichick was not excited at the prospect of holding the Lamar Hunt trophy, which is given to the AFC champion.
Take a look at this video from Jason Schwartz:

I wasn’t the only one who noticed the lack of enthusiasm that Belichick had for the trophy. Take a look:

Belichick looked at that AFC Championship trophy like I look at my little league baseball participation trophies.

Let's talk about how Belichick is holding the trophy like a rented textbook because it doesn't matter

Bill Belichick reluctantly grabs the conference championship trophy and treats it with utter disdain.
