Darren Sproles has enjoyed a long and illustrious NFL career as a running back and returner since his playing days at Olathe North and Kansas State.

Sproles came into the league in 2005 with the Chargers and has since played for the Saints before joining the Eagles ahead of the 2014 season.

Unfortunately, Sproles took a viscous hit to the head on Sunday while fielding a punt. Washington’s Deshazor Everett’s cheap shot resulted in an unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty.

The Associated Press reported that Sproles remained on the ground for a couple minutes before walking off the field.
