Chiefs fans started tailgating seven hours before kickoff
Hey, at least the sun was shining.
Any Chiefs game against the Raiders is a big deal for fans, but Thursday night’s game offered so much more: control of the race in the AFC West, a national TV audience and a home game.
That’s why the Chiefs opened the gates to the parking lots at noon, more than seven hours before kickoff. That may seem excessive to some people (it is a weekday), but fans were out there in big numbers.
