Jarrod Dyson’s catch against Marlins ranked as fourth-best play in 2016
It’s official: Royals outfielder Jarrod Dyson’s home-run saving grab against the Miami Marlins on Aug. 25 was the catch of the year in Major League Baseball.
In fact, Dyson’s stunning grab was the No. 4 ranked play in baseball in 2016.
The MLB Network unveiled its “Capital One Premier Plays of the Year” on Saturday night, and Dyson’s catch of a ball off the bat of Christian Yelich was fourth. Here are the top-five plays (minus the top spot).
I can’t say that No. 1 was not the right call. Game 7 of the World Series was nutty, and who could have predicted that Rajai Davis would hit a game-tying homer of Aroldis Chapman? It was a stunner.
