Nothing can stop 7-year-old from dribbling basketball in halls of hospital
This kid is a basketball junkie. He’s got the sport on his mind at all times.
And considering that 7-year-old Brodie is battling leukemia, that is saying something. Then again, he lives in Indiana, so hoops is a big part of life there.
A little background: The Indianapolis Star reported that earlier this year Brody spent eight months in the hospital being treated for leukemia (his second round of treatment). The story, which includes a video of Brodie shooting hoops in his family’s driveway, notes that he had to go back to the hospital for a bone marrow transplant.
It seems this time in the hospital has included many challenges. In fact, the Bubbles For Brody Facebook page shared that earlier this month doctors had “placed tubes into his kidneys to relieve pressure and clotting in his bladder.”
But, man, Brodie won’t let it stop him from enjoying basketball. Even in the hospital. Check out this great video that Dan Dakich shared on Twitter.
