Curses! Kate Upton goes on explicit rant after Justin Verlander fails to win Cy Young
Apparently, model Kate Upton thought her fiance was going to win the American League Cy Young Award on Wednesday night.
Upton is engaged to Detroit Tigers starter Justin Verlander, who took second in the Cy Young voting by a mere five points. Boston Red Sox starter Rick Porcello won with 137 points, followed by Verlander at 132.
This did not make Upton happy, so she decided to vent on Twitter. I had to cover up part of this tweet, but you may get the idea of what she wrote:
He had the majority of 1st place votes and 2 writers didn't have him on their ballots?!! can you pick more out of touch people to vote?@MLB

And lest Porcello should, you know, relish the moment, Upton rained on his parade big time:
Sorry Rick but you didn't get any 1st place votes? you didn't win. #ByeFelicia @MLB keep up with the times and fire those writers

Of course, Porcello did get first place votes (eight), but it was less than the 14 received by Verlander. Still, a couple of people tried to point this out to Upton, but she was having none of it.

@LAPatriot @MLB how many 2nd place votes? huh? he lost to Justin in 1st place votes. If Tampa bay writers weren't paid off...

It was in fact the two writers from Tampa Bay who left Verlander off their ballots. But here’s some positive news: The Star’s Sam Mellinger voted Verlander first, so Sam is still on Kate’s good side.
