Joel Embiid made Jahlil Okafor pay after the two bet on KU-Duke game

Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor are teammates on the Philadelphia 76ers, but they come from very different backgrounds.

That is to say, Embiid played for Kansas, while Okafor played at Duke.

So it should come as no surprise that the two made a wager ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions Classic game between their former schools.

Embiid was on Twitter almost immediately after the Jayhawks’ 77-75 win.

If you follow Embiid on social media, then you know that he likes to have some fun. So, Embiid also tweeted this so Okafor could see it — and everyone else.

And, yes, the two did make a bet. And Okafor had to pay up. This should make all the KU fans out there happy: the former Duke player in Jayhawks colors.
