The Chicago police scanner was as bonkers as you’d expect after World Series

This was a party 108 years in the making, and most of Chicago* celebrated Wednesday night and into Thursday morning after the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.

So it should come as no surprise that the police scanner included some wacky updates. These are from the Twitter accounts Chicagoland Scanner and CʜɪᴄᴀɢᴏSᴄᴀɴɴᴇʀ, which both tweet things that are heard on scanners in Chicago and the surrounding area. Let’s kick this off the big news:

It sounds like things got pretty crazy after that. And that should come as a surprise to no one, right? Here is the blow-by-blow, although it doesn’t include some stuff that was a bit too violent.
