For Pete's Sake

A Cubs fan raised W flag at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland

Fly The W.

After Cubs victories, the team flies a flag with the letter W at Wrigley Field to signify that the team had won that day’s game. The practice dates to 1938, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Celebrities like Bob Newhart have their own flag and #FlyTheW has become a well-used hashtag on social media.

Well, a plucky Cubs fan (well, you’d assume it was a Cubs fan, that is) took things a step further on Tuesday night. After the Cubs won Game 6 of the World Series 9-3 in Cleveland, a fan raised a W flag outside The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
