Jason Kipnis’ dugout home-run celebration is the best in baseball
Did you see it?
Not just Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis’ three-run homer in Game 4 of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Saturday night.
But the ride he got from this teammates. In the dugout.
You’ve seen players line up and give a teammate high-fives as he goes through the dugout, but the Indians did something akin to The Hora. That’s a Jewish tradition. At a wedding, the bride and groom are sitting and their chairs are lifted up during a dance.
Jacob Lauing caught the Kipnis moment on Twitter:

Watching the Kipnis HR celebration in the dugout is a wonderful reminder that baseball is still a kids' game.

Having Kipnis carried down the high five line to avoid another celebration injury is another brilliant in game move by Francona.
