Tiger Woods did it. So did Katy Perry. So did nearly everyone in your office.

They all said at some point: “I’m just here so I don’t get fined.”

That was the oft-repeated sentence from Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch at the Super Bowl Media Day.

Say this much for the Skittles-loving Lynch, he knows a cash cow when he sees it.

According to the Seattle Times, Lynch has filed a trademark application to own that phrase.

Here is a link to the trademark request. Lynch wants to control the phrasing on sales of T-shirts, hats, beanies, hooded sweatshirts and more.

Wait. Beanies?
