Tennis player Svetlana Kuznetsova apparently was having a bad hair day on Monday during the WTA Finals in Singapore.
During a changeover in the third set of Kuznetsova’s match against Agnieszka Radwanska, Kuznetsova asked the umpire for scissors, according to the Associated Press. She then cut off part of her braid.
Kuznetsova was down 2-1 in the set but rallied for a 7-5, 1-6, 7-5 victory.
“It was bothering me a lot,” she told the Associated Press. “When I was hitting forehands, every time I would hit a good shot it would hit my eye.”

It was not a rash decision.
“I thought, ‘Okay, what’s more important now, my hair which I can let grow or the match?’ ” Kuznetsova said.
