Steakhouse changes terms of promotion after Michigan’s 78-point win
Even if this was the original intent of the deal, this looks really bad for the Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The restaurant has been offering a great deal at that location, which is home to the University of Michigan.

What a deal, right? It’s even better for those planning a visit this week, because Michigan routed Rutgers 78-0 on Saturday night. So that’s 78 percent off your steak.
But here’s the thing the offer was ... amended. Ruth’s Chris changed its original Facebook post (which doesn’t change the date of the original post if you were wondering about that).
Yes, the offer was mysteriously changed to 50 percent. Well, not mysteriously. I’m guessing someone had a panic attack on Saturday night.*
*It is possible this was changed before Saturday’s game, but there seems to be no mention of it on the Facebook comments
While some people acknowledged that 50 percent off is a great deal, others were disappointed in the change, and Ruth’s Chris tried to explain itself:
