Spring training has started for the Royals in Arizona, and it’s time for fans to get ready for the season, too.

On March 14, the Royals will hold their annual “Royals Fans Got Talent” auditions at 8 a.m. at Kauffman Stadium.

In a news release, the team said bands, choirs, groups, musicians and individual singers are invited to apply to perform the National Anthem or “God Bless America” during the 2015 season.

This is key: auditions are by invitation only. The team said to be considered for an invitation, fans need to complete and submit paperwork, accompanied by an MP3 or YouTube link of performance via email to 2015Auditions@royals.com.

Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on March 6.

This is key, too: Just because you submit an application, it does not guarantee an audition.

More information is at royals.com/perform.

Should a performer or performers be invited for an audition, they can not exceed 90 seconds and “in the traditional version of the song and must be done a cappella.”

This is also key: Pyrotechnics and/or harmful materials are prohibited.
