A fan threw a beer near an Orioles outfielder in the Wild Card Game
And you thought things were crazy in the vice presidential debate.
It had nothing on the American League Wild Card Game at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Tuesday. The Blue Jays’ Melvin Upton Jr. hit a fly to left field in the seventh inning that Orioles outfielder Hyun-Soo Kim caught.
But while Kim was tracking the ball, someone threw a beer on the field and didn’t miss Kim by much.
C.J. Fogler shared multiple looks at the play on Twitter:

You may recall that someone in Toronto threw a beer on the field during last year’s American League Division Series against Texas. The Blue Jays advanced to face the Royals in the American League Championship Series, and former Royal Jeremy Guthrie trolled the Toronto fanbase during one of the games.
