College recruiting site now including sixth-grade football players
Keep this in mind: April Fool’s Day is not for another six weeks or so.
Why the reminder? Because Rivals is following the college prospects of two sixth-grade football players.
Yeah, that sounds more like something you’d have seen on Sunday night’s “Saturday Night Live” special.
But this, sadly, is true:

— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) February 16, 2015 Both of those players, as you probably noted, are part of the Class of 2021. At that point, we’ll all be anxiously awaiting “Star Wars 9” later that year.
No disrespect to the kids involved, but to call one of them is a “pro-style quarterback,” seems a bit disengenious.
Hat tip to USA Today for first pointing out this foolishness.
