Marcus Peters’ raised fist evokes strong emotions from fans
Cornerback Marcus Peters raised his fist during the playing on the national anthem before the Chiefs’ season-opener against the San Diego Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.
If you're a prayerful person, please send some prayers up for Marcus Peters. All hell is about to be unleashed against him.

The reaction wasn’t all terrible. However, there were quite a few upset folks because it was one on 9/11, and here is a sampling of the reaction (I had to cut out the ones that had bad language):
If only Marcus Peters had put as much energy into his coverages as he did his mouth running today. If only.

@jeff_rosen88 always 1 guy who has to try and steal the spot light. Today is about remembering true heroes! No place for this today on 9/11.

Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters raised "black power" fist during national anthem but at least he stood. Not a fan of it but its acceptable.
