Former Kansas star Joel Embiid is back in Lawrence
Former Kansas star Joel Embiid is recovering from foot surgery, and it is unlikely he will play for the 76ers this season.
But Embiid is a big part of Philadelphia’s future (they did draft him in the first round last year), so he’s working his way back. And he’s spending at least part of the NBA All-Star break in Lawrence working with KU strength coach Andrea Hudy:
Embiid is still a popular figure in Lawrence as you can tell by some of the tweets from KU students:

— Kansas Jayhawk Fans (@FansOfKU) February 14, 2015Just like old times: Embiid just snuck into the media room to grab some bottles of lemonade.
— Blake Schuster (@Schustee) February 14, 2015Seems strange to see Embiid not smiling in so many photos.
