Ray Rice issues public apology for ‘horrible mistake’
Nearly a year after punching his then-fiancee, Jenay, in an Atlantic City casino elevator, Ray Rice publicly apologized.
Rice issued a statement Friday morning to The Baltimore Sun apologizing to fans and thanking the Ravens and the city.

— NFL on ESPN (@ESPNNFL) February 13, 2015After a video surfaced of the incident, Rice was suspended for two games by the NFL. Another video came to light and the Ravens terminated his contract and he was suspsended by the NFL.
An arbitrator lifted the suspension in November, but Rice has not been able to find a team to sign him.
