Notes: First in the Big 12 standings, eighth in the power poll? That’s Kansas State. Heading into Monday’s action, the Wildcats top the Big 12 with a 4-1 record. But the 7-6 nonconference mark, the league’s worst, knocks K-State back in the body-of-work argument. Still, the Wildcats’ trajectory points toward the NCAA Tournament at this pace. They play at Iowa State on Tuesday.
