Sporting KC selects Clemson’s Amadou Dia with 20th pick in MLS SuperDraft

To conclude its trio of first-round picks, Sporting Kansas City selected Clemson’s Amadou Dia with the 20th overall pick Thursday in the MLS SuperDraft.

Dia possesses the ability to play both midfielder and outside back.

Sporting KC previously selected California midfielder Connor Hallisey with the 10th pick and Akron defender Saad Abdul-Salaam with the 12th pick.

It will close out its busy draft day with the 30th overall pick.
