Sporting KC defeats FC Tucson 4-0 in preseason scrimmage

Sporting Kansas City's first competitive action of 2016 produced its first victory.

In a preseason scrimmage Saturday morning, Sporting KC defeated FC Tucson 4-0 in Tucson, Ariz.

Newcomer Brad Davis and Dom Dwyer scored in the first half — and assisted on each other's goals — and Connor Hallisey scored twice in the second half.

The teams played two 30-minute halves. They will meet for a rematch at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
