Sporting KC selects goalkeeper Alec Kann in MLS Re-Entry Draft
Sporting Kansas City selected goalkeeper Alec Kann in the first stage of the MLS Re-Entry Draft on Friday.
The Chicago Fire held Kann’s rights last season, but he spent the majority of the season with its USL affiliate, Saint Louis FC, where he had a 76.3 save percentage over 19 matches. Kann, 25, made his MLS debut with the Fire on Oct. 25, allowing two goals and making six saves.
Only two players were selected in the Re-Entry Draft. FC Dallas took former Portland striker Maximiliano Urruti with the first pick.
