Sporting Kansas City defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-1 at Sporting Park.
The win was Sporting KC’s second of the 2026 season and came at home.
Prior home match was a tie with the Seattle Sounders before a 6-0 road loss to Portland.
Sporting Kansas City collected its second win of the season on Wednesday night at Sporting Park, defeating the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-1.
Capita Capemba scored in the 32nd minute, Dejan Joveljic during first-half injury time and Calvin Harris completed Kansas City’s outburst with a goal in the 70th minute on a lovely evening in Kansas City, Kansas.
That makes it two straight gritty showings at home for Sporting KC. Kansas City (2-8-2) played the Seattle Sounders to a tie at Sporting Park in its last home match.
The problem is, the game after that tie vs. Seattle was a 6-0 blowout loss to Portland on the road — one of too many lopsided shutouts that KC has absorbed this spring.
