Sporting Kansas City is the sixth-most valuable team in Major League Soccer, according to figures released Wednesday by Forbes.

The business publication pegs Sporting KC as worth $165 million, which trails only Seattle ($245 million), the Los Angeles Galaxy ($240 million), Houston ($200 million), Portland ($185 million) and Toronto FC ($175 million).

Sporting KC had an estimated revenue of $29 million for the 2014 season, with an operating income of $4 million before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, Forbes wrote.

The average franchise is worth $157 million, which represents a 52 percent increase from two years ago, when teams were worth an average of $103 million, according to Forbes.

Colorado is estimated to be the least valuable team, worth $105 million.

Expansion clubs Orlando City SC and New York City FC were not included.
