Sporting Kansas City could be well-represented at the CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer.

Matt Besler and Graham Zusi were selected Wednesday to the U.S. national team’s 35-player provisional roster, which will be trimmed to 23 players before the Gold Cup in July.

Roger Espinoza (Honduras), Marcel de Jong (Canada) and Soni Mustivar (Haiti) also were selected to their respective countries’ provisional rosters for the tournament, which runs July 7-26 and serves as CONCACAF’s regional championship.

Sporting KC has three MLS matches scheduled during that span.

Sporting Park will play host to the Group A finales on July 13, with the U.S. facing Panama at 8:30 p.m. That match will be preceded by Honduras and Haiti at 6 p.m.

Zusi has made 28 career appearances for the U.S. national team — scoring three goals and recording six assists since his debut in 2012 — but he has not appeared for the U.S. since a friendly against Honduras last October.

Besler started all three knockout-round matches for the U.S. during the 2013 Gold Cup, which the U.S. won. Besler and Zusi also played in the 2014 World Cup.

Espinoza has made 46 appearances for Honduras and represented his country at the 2014 World Cup.

De Jong, 28, offers the most Gold Cup experience among the bunch. He appeared for Canada in the 2009, 2011 and 2013 tournaments.

Mustivar has made six international appearances for Haiti.
