Three-minute preview: Chicago Fire at Sporting Kansas City

▪ ABOUT CHICAGO (3-3-0, 9 points): The Fire have won three straight games — a feat they failed to accomplish a single time last season. But the offense has been lacking. Chicago has scored more than one goal only once in six matches this season.
▪ ABOUT SPORTING KC (2-2-4, 10 points): The club has allowed six goals over its past two matches — the product of a myriad of factors. It lost defender Ike Opara to a season-ending Achilles’ injury; goalkeeper Luis Marin has struggled to get acclimated to MLS play; and coach Peter Vermes says his team is allowing too many set pieces. That’s the bad news. The good? Sporting KC scored four goals in Houston last week to still earn a draw.
▪ BOTTOM LINE: It’s a welcomed matchup for Sporting KC forward Dom Dwyer, who scored in all three meetings with Chicago last season. Chicago is winless in its past four trips to Sporting Park.
