Sporting KC’s Graham Zusi misses game against Real Salt Lake but is eyeing a return

Sporting KC midfielder Graham Zusi did not play Saturday against Real Salt Lake, missing his second straight match with a hamstring strain, but he appears to be nearing a return.

Zusi went through a full training session prior to Saturday’s match and reported no setbacks. Asked if he expects to play next Saturday, when Sporting KC travels to face MLS defending-champion LA Galaxy, Zusi responded, “Definitely.”

“We did a really hard training session today, and it responded very, very well,” he said. “I think I'll be back with the team (for practice) first thing next week.”
