Sporting Kansas City’s Roger Espinoza, Marcel de Jong called up to their national teams
A pair of Sporting Kansas City players will join their home countries later this month for international matches.
Midfielder Roger Espinoza was selected to the Honduras national team roster Thursday for its CONCACAF Gold Cup play-in series against French Guiana, a two-game series that starts March 25 and concludes in Honduras on March 29.
Defender Marcel de Jong will join the Canada national team for a pair of international exhibitions. Canada is scheduled to play Guatemala on March 27 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., before traveling for a road match against Puerto Rico on March 30.
