FC Kansas City’s Becky Sauerbrunn and Heather O’Reilly were selected to the U.S. Women’s National Team’s 26-player roster for the first training camp of 2016. The list will be trimmed to 18 before a match against the Republic of Ireland on Jan. 23 as the United States prepares for 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship, which begins Feb. 10.

Amy Rodriguez, who was also a member of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, is expecting a second child and was left off of the roster. Teammate Lauren Holiday retired at the end of the National Women’s Soccer League season.
