No FCKC Blues selected in expansion draft
The National Women’s Soccer League’s newest franchise, the Orlando Pride, held an expansion draft on Monday and did not select any players from FC Kansas City.
Orlando had already acquired FC Kansas City player Sarah Hagen last week in a trade.
Instead, Orlando targeted eight of the other teams in the league, picking up U.S. Women’s National Team members Meghan Klingenberg and Ashlyn Harris from the Seattle Reign FC and Washington Spirit.
Orlando will start competition in the 2016 MWSL season.
