FCKC beats Kansas in exhibition

Lauren Holiday had two goals Saturday as FC Kansas City beat the University of Kansas 3-1 in an exhibition game in Lawrence.

In the 12th minute, Holiday passed to Amy Rodriguez, who scored the opening goal. Jen Buczkowski passed it to Holiday, who dribbled across the box and made it 2-0.

Kansas got on the board in the 31st minute when Jamie Fletcher’s free kick from 40 yards out went to Ashley Williams, who headed it past FCKC goalkeeper Sarah Keane. Holiday converted a penalty kick in the 50th minute for the final goal.
