See the KC Current’s new ‘Storm Kit’ uniform ahead of 2026 NWSL season

The Kansas City Current’s color scheme has brought about some phenomenal looks in the organization’s early history.

For the 2026 season, the Current’s adding a third kit to mix.

The National Women’s Soccer League team on Thursday unveiled its third kit, or uniform: the “Storm Kit.” It features a deep navy blue (a color the club calls “storm”), with bright teal lines streaking through like electricity in clouds during a summer squall.

The storm color appears in the piping of the collar, sleeves and bottom of the Current’s Teal Kit, the all-teal secondary uniform the Current released last season. It also features the words “Mighty Current” on the bottom right-hand side of the jersey.

Both the teal secondary kit and the Current’s red “Heartland” kit will continue to be worn in rotation with this year’s release.

“The Storm Kit reflects the momentum of the organization both on and off the pitch, while also showcasing our Kansas City pride and brand synergy,” Current chief marketing officer Jocelyn Monroe in a news release. “This iconic look is poised to be a fan favorite, and we are proud to expand our kit options.”

Kit sponsorship will mostly remain the same, with one new addition for the 2026 season. The United Way of Greater Kansas City continues as the front-of-kit partner, as do both LaCroix (upper back-of-kit) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (sleeve).

CVS Health is one of the club’s newest sponsors, and its logo will be featured on the back of the kit.

The Current will kick off the 2026 NWSL regular season at home on March 14, taking on the Utah Royals at 3 p.m. Central Time at CPKC Stadium.
