FCKC has three-game win streak snapped with loss to Orlando Pride
FC Kansas City had its three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as the Blues fell to the Orlando Pride 2-1 at Swope Soccer Village.
The two teams were knotted up 1-1, but the Pride got the game-winning goal in the 87th minute on a score by Alex Morgan.
Morgan has scored in five straight games.
FCKC’s Lo’eau LaBonta had evended the game up 1-1 in the 42nd minute. It was LaBonta’s first-ever NWSL goal, and it came off of Shea Groom’s fifth assist of the season.
FC Kansas City dropped to 6-9-5 on the season, while the Pride pushed its mark to 9-6-5.
FCKC will play host to Sky Blue FC on Sept. 3.
