FCKC drops game at home to first-place North Carolina 1-0
FC Kansas City had its hands full on Thursday night.
The Blues, who are in last place in NWSL, played host to the first-place North Carolina Courage.
And FCKC was unable to hold back the Courage, falling 1-0 at Children’s Mercy Victory Field in Swope Park.
The Blues kept the Courage off the scoreboard until Lynn Williams’ goal in the 86th minute. FCKC was outshot 28-6 and had two shots on goal to North Carolina’s five.
With the loss, FCKC fell to 3-8-5 on the season, while North Carolina improved to 11-5-0.
FC Kansas City will play at the Houston Dash on Sunday.
