FC Kansas City’s Becky Sauerbrunn, Lauren Holiday and Amy Rodriguez were named to the National Women’s Soccer League’s Best XI on Friday. It was the second consecutive selection for Sauerbrunn and Holiday.

Sauerbrunn, who was named 2014 NWSL Defender of the Year on Tuesday, anchored the defense, which had a league-best eight shutouts in the regular season. Holiday had eight goals and seven assists, while Rodriguez scored 13 goals which ranked second in the league.

Those three, along with goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart will join the U.S. women’s national team in training camp following the conclusion of the National Women’s Soccer League season. FC Kansa City will play Seattle on Sunday in the NWSL Championship game.

The national team is preparing for a pair of matches against Mexico on Sept. 13 and 18. This will be the final camp and matches before coach Jill Ellis names a 20-player roster that will compete in the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s Championship and attempt to qualify for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Tickets for the CONCACAF matches that will be held at Sporting Park on Oct. 15-16 went on sale to the general public Friday morning and are available through Ticketmaster.com.
