The Kansas City Current unveiled new renderings for its stadium coming to the Berkley Riverfront in 2024. It’ll be the first stadium in the world built solely for a professional women’s soccer team.

These renderings show views of the stadium’s east side, with “CURRENT” spelled across the general reserve section. Fans sitting in this section will have a clear view of downtown Kansas City.

The team also released its timeline for building the $117 million downtown stadium, which you can find below.

WHAT IS THE STADIUM’S TIMELINE?

  • Stadium groundbreaking: Oct. 6, 2022

  • Stadium site excavation: Fall 2022

  • Site utilities and building foundations: Winter 2022

  • Concrete palace and structural steel erection: Spring 2023

  • Building masonry for suites, concessions and other amenities: Summer 2023

  • Pitch installation: August 2023

  • Concourse paving, stadium seating and scoreboard installation: Fall 2023

  • Interior finishes for suites and club levels, concourse finishes and bars: Fall - Winter 2023

  • Stadium opens: March 2024

Season ticket members for the 2023 season will have a guaranteed seat at the new stadium when it opens for the 2024 season. You can reserve your spot for the stadium by placing a deposit here.
