Comets’ balanced attack leads to 8-3 win over St. Louis Ambush

Eight different players scored for the Comets in their 8-3 victory over the St. Louis Ambush on Sunday night at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

It was the second straight win for the Comets, 2-1. They are 12-1 all-time against St. Louis.

Goalkeeper Stephen Paterson started the attack with a goal from midfield in the 6th minute of play. Guerrero Pino, Ramone Palmer and Vahid Assadpour also scored before halftime.

Bryan Perez scored in the third period for the Comets. Lucas Rodriguez, Brian Harris and Robert Palmer added goals in the fourth period for Kansas City.

Richard Schmermund scored twice for St. Louis.

The Comets’ next game is Saturday at Milwaukee. It will be Kansas City’s first road game of the season.
