FISHING
Missouri
▪ NORFORK: 46 degrees, clear on the main lake, stained in the creeks, 4 feet low. Outlook: Bink’s Guide Service reports: stripers excellent on 1-ounce Bink’s spoons, live shiners in 80 to 90 feet of water between Highway 101 and Highway 62 bridges; crappies, bass fair on minnows, 1/4-ounce Bink’s spoons in 25 to 30 feet of water.
▪ TANEYCOMO: Clear, generation early and late, little current during the day. Outlook: Lilleys’ Landing reports: Below Fall Creek: rainbow trout fair to good on white Super Dupers, Lil’ Jakes, Trout Magnets, marabou jigs under strike indicators in the mouths of creeks.
▪ BULL SHOALS: 46 degrees, clear, 51/2 feet low. Outlook: 125 Marina reports: largemouth bass fair on shallow-running crankbaits along windy banks; crappies fair on jigs in 15 feet of water in the brush.
▪ TABLE ROCK: 44 degrees, clear, 51/2 feet low. Outlook: White River Lodge reports: bass fair on Ned rigs, jerkbaits along 45-degree chunk-rock banks.

▪ WHITE RIVER (ARK.): Clear, variable power generation. Outlook: Gaston’s White River Resort reports: brown, rainbow trout good on stickbaits from the dam to 3 miles downstream. Trout also good on egg patterns, red San Juan worms, white beadhead wooly buggers. Spin fishermen are catching trout on Thomas Buoyant Spoons, Little Cleos, white Rooster Tails.
Brent’s best bet
The stripers have headed south for the winter at Norfork Lake on the Missouri-Arkansas border. That’s south as in straight down. Guides rate the fishing as excellent this week, with big fish being caught in 80 to 90 feet of water on Bink’s Spoons and live shiners.
