Bob Ziehmer to resign as director of the Missouri Department of Conservation

Bob Ziehmer, director of the Missouri Department of Conservation since 2010, announced Monday he will be resigning on July 15.

He gave no specific reason, other than to say he will be continuing his conservation career through a new endeavor in the private sector.

Ziehmer has been with the Department of Conservation for 25 years. He was only the eighth person to serve as director of the agency since it was founded in 1937.
