: White River Lodge reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows under bobbers along gravel flats near Bridgeport on the James River; white bass good on blue-back Rebels, Road Runners in Long Creek and James and Kings rivers; black bass good to excellent on wobblehead jigs with plastic crawdad trailers in 3 to 7 feet of water along windy banks.
• NORFORK:Outlook:Bink’s Guide Service reports: stripers good on stickbaits at night; crappies good on jigs along the banks; bass good on Bass Assassins, Flukes along the banks; walleyes good on Bink’s Spoons in the rivers.
• STOCKTON:Outlook:Stockton Lake Guide Service reports: crappies very good to excellent on jigs in 2 to 6 feet of water along spawning banks in the creek arms; bass good on jigs off secondary points in 2 to 8 feet of water; white bass good on white jigs in the creeks.
largemouth, Kentucky bass good in early morning on topwater lures off windy banks in dingy water and during the day on Hot’N Tots, plastic baits in 8 to 10 feet of water; walleyes good on stickbaits, jigs along banks; white bass good on Alabama rigs, Swimming Minnows in the creeks with dingy water.
• SMITHVILLE:Outlook:Burton’s Bait and Tackle reports: bass very good on jigs, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits in the shallow timber (fish are staging for the spawn); crappies fair but scattered on jigs, minnows; channel catfish good on shad, chicken liver in mouths of coves; white bass good on Road Runners, jigs, spinners in the Little Platte River near Plattsburg.
• LONGVIEW: Outlook:Longview Lake Marina reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows off the marina docks and in Johnson Cove; catfish fair on liver off the marina docks.
Lilleys’ Landing reports: Trophy Area: trout fair on pink or chartreuse Trout Magnets under floats, white jigs, scud and zebra midge flies. Below Fall Creek: trout fair on Gulp eggs, marabou jigs under floats in creeks.
• LAKE OF THE OZARKS:Outlook:Gier’s Bass Pro reports: crappies fair to good on jigs under bobbers in 12 to 15 feet of water over the brush; bass fair on spinnerbaits, jigs along windy banks.
• TRUMAN: Outlook:Bucksaw Marina reports: crappies fair to good on spider rigs with minnows (a few fish are also being caught on jigs, minnows along spawning banks); catfish good on juglines with fresh cut shad in the mouths of creeks; bass poor to fair (cold front has slowed fishing, but a few are being caught on squarebill crankbaits in small pockets on the main lake). Below the dam: crappies fair in the cutoff channel; catfish, white bass, hybrids fair in the current.
• POMME DE TERRE:Outlook:Muskie Guide Service reports: crappies fair to good on jigs, minnows along the banks; walleyes fair on jigs along the dam and in rocky areas.
• REED AREA: Outlook:Department of Conservation reports: crappies, bass poor to fair due to cold front (fishing was good before the temperature drop and is expected to improve with the warmup).
