Dean Rojas leads Bassmaster Classic after day one
Dean Rojas of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., didn’t let the frigid temperatures bother him Friday in the first round of the Bassmaster Classic at Lake Hartwell in Greenville, S.C.
With the temperature at 10 degrees at takeoff, Rojas caught five bass weighing 21 pounds, 2 ounces and took the early lead. Skeet Reese of Auburn, Calif., was second with 20 pounds, 2 ounces, and Keith Combs of Huntington, Texas was third with 18 pouds, 8 ounces.
Missouri’s only qualifier, Brian Snowden of Reeds Spring, is in 28th place with 8 pounds, 8 ounces.
