Missouri Mavericks will face Allen in next round of Kelly Cup playoffs

The Missouri Mavericks’ quest for the Kelly Cup means they will have to beat the defending champions.

The Allen Americans beat Idaho 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday and advanced to face the Mavericks in the Western Conference semifinals. The first game of the best-of-seven series is Friday at 7:05 p.m. at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence.

The Mavericks went 6-4 against the Americans during the regular season.
