Chiefs rookie linebacker Dadi Nicolas stars on defense
Rookie linebacker Dadi Nicolas had his best game of the preseason on Thursday in a 17-7 win over the Green Bay Packers at Arrowhead Stadium.
Nicolascame up with two of the Chiefs’ four sacks, and was credited with three total tackles and a pair of quarterback hurries. The sixth-round selection from Virginia Tech finished the preseason with three sacks, leading the team.
On his first sack Thursday, Nicolas blew past the tackle, and quarterback Joe Callahan had no chance to avoid the rush.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said after the game that Nicolas suffered a neck sprain during the game and will have an MRI on Saturday.
