Chiefs release one cornerback, sign another

The Chiefs released cornerback Tre Jones, who suffered a hamstring injury Thursday, and replaced him with cornerback Bryce Cheek.

Cheek, who is listed at 6 feet and 195 pounds, went to college at Akron. He spent some time with the Chiefs during organized team activities.

Both players are undrafted rookies. Jones went to Mount Union.
