Chiefs game against Lions in November will start at 8:30 a.m.
Are you ready for some (morning) football?
The NFL announced Thursday that the Chiefs’ Nov. 1 game in London against the Detroit Lions will be a 8:30 a.m. kickoff.
Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt told The Star in November that he hopes his team’s decision to surrender their home-field advantage against Detroit will take care of that obligation for the next four or five years as it pursues a Super Bowl bid.
“Let me just say directly — I understand why our fans are frustrated,” Hunt said in November. “Frankly, I don’t expect them to be happy about it ... they’re so passionate, and they want to spend their Sunday afternoons cheering the team on.
“We’re going to talk about ideas about things that we can do for them to help compensate.”
