Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson filled out his new staff as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday, and he’s taking two Chiefs assistants with him.

The Eagles announced that former Chiefs assistant offensive line coach Eugene Chung will be the Eagles’ new assistant offensive line/tight ends/run-game coach, while former Chiefs coaching assistant Dino Vasso will serve as a defensive quality control/assistant secondary coach.

Chung previously served as the Eagles’ assistant line coach from 2010 to 2012 before serving the same role for Andy Reid from 2013 to 2015. Zach Fulton credited Chung for helping him get the art of snapping down when he moved from guard to center this year. Fulton had never snapped in a game before this season but made four starts (including one preseason game) and had zero errant snaps.

Vasso spent the previous three years as the Chiefs’ coaching assistant with an emphasis on the secondary, as he helped coach the defensive backs, along with Emmitt Thomas and Al Harris. The Chiefs finished second in the NFL this year with 22 interceptions.
