The Chiefs are working out quarterback Terrelle Pryor on Wednesday, a source confirmed to The Star.

The news was first reported by Pro Football Talk.

Pryor, 25, is a dual-threat quarterback who is listed at 6 feet 4 and 233 pounds. He played 14 games for the Oakland Raiders in 2012 and 2013 and completed 170 of 302 passes (56.3 percent) for 1,963 yards, nine touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also rushed 93 times for 627 yards and three touchdowns.

The Raiders, however, dealt Pryor to the Seattle Seahawks in April for a seventh-round pick. He completed 21 of 39 passes for 281 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the preseason but was released before the season.

The Chiefs already have four quarterbacks on the roster in Alex Smith, Chase Daniel, Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray — a fifth-round pick in 2014.

The Chiefs are also working out Canadian Football League receiver Duron Carter on Wednesday.
