How the Chiefs can still reach the playoffs despite loss to the Steelers

The Chiefs, at 8-7, still have a fleeting chance of making the NFL playoffs, but they’re going to need some help. In order to qualify as an AFC Wild-Card team, they must hope the following three scenarios come true:

1. Chiefs defeat San Diego, 9-5, next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

2. Baltimore, 9-6, must lose at home to Cleveland, 7-8.

3. Houston, 8-7, must lose at home to Jacksonville, 3-12.
